With summer quickly approaching, we're dreaming of lazy days floating in the sea (drink in hand, of course). And we know we're not alone in the desire to own our own little piece of coastal paradise in Europe. That's why we scoured the internet to find you some amazingly affordable seaside bargains in Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece.

Nerja Malaga Spain

Our opinion: The listing agent is clearly a person of few words, so we don't have a very elaborate description to go off of here. However, we feel the views speak for themselves! Categorized as a studio, a cute alcove houses room enough for a double bed to separate living from sleeping. A small yet efficient kitchen flanks the entrance hall to again maximize space. From the photos, we note there is a communal pool. No word on HOA/Condo fees. If you're looking for an investment to rent out as a vacation home, a quick AIRDNA search shows Nerja with an average rate of €103/night and 57% occupancy. 

About Nerja

Nerja is a resort town along southern Spain's Costa del Sol. Its seafront promenade, Balcón de Europa, tops a promontory with views of the Mediterranean and surrounding mountains. Positioned at the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol, Nerja boasts nearly 10 miles of powdery beaches featuring activities like water skiing, scuba diving and sailing. Our opinion: We'll start with location, location, location! The Algarve region of Portugal is SUPER HOT and we've seen prices skyrocket in the area over the past couple of years due to so many foreign buyers investing. When we spied this little dandy with magnificent sea views, we had to include it as a feature. 

Alvor is a seaside resort and fishing village in the Algarve, Portugal’s southernmost region. The 16th-­century Igreja Matriz church rises above the old town, while 3 Islamic shrines (morabitos) evoke the area’s Moorish heritage. Cobbled lanes lead down to the paved riverfront, which is lined with bars and seafood restaurants. The wetlands of the Alvor river estuary provide a habitat for resident and migratory birds. Our opinion: Stunning views from the terrace are what make this one a STEAL. There's a decent amount of space to work with inside. A large bedroom that could use some new furniture to bring it into the 2000's, but it's large and could accommodate another single bed or an office nook. There are 2 bathrooms, which is SO RARE in Italy (especially when there's only one bedroom). And how about that wine barrel bathtub?

Our opinion: If you're looking for more space, this one is great value with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. But let's not overlook the gorgeous terrace and those elevated sea views. Although not walking distance to the beach, it is a short 5 minute drive away. And we think the space and privacy make up for it.

A beautiful 2 bedroom 2 bathroom duplex situated in the La Parata area of Mojacar Playa. Due to the property's elevation, the views from the south-east facing terrace are stunning overlooking La Parata and down to the Mediterranean Sea. The duplex has been finished to an incredibly high standard and is immaculately presented. 

A driveway leads up to the four properties situated here which are all accessed via a walkway. Although there isn't a community in place, the drive & walkway are maintained by the owners of the four properties as these are the only areas that can be considered communal. 

A gateway then opens into a lovely courtyard; the terraced area is completely private and is an ideal spot to enjoy the sun. A door from here then leads into the modern & open plan kitchen/diner. The kitchen was recently refurbished and boasts a large amount of worktop space and storage, whilst the dining area easily accommodates a table and 6 chairs. La Parata is just a 6 minute drive away from the beaches of Mojacar and although this small development does not have a communal pool, there is a pool in La Parata which can be used with payment of an annual fee. The area is also home to a very popular restaurant, Restaurante La Parata.
