This one has all my "spidey senses" perked. It's close proximity to Rome, the character details, the soaring ceilings, the windows with panoramic views. Not only could this be the PERFECT property to call home, it also has the makings of a lucrative vacation rental. With a little further investment (it needs to be fitted with a kitchen), this place could be a real show stopper of an income property. Wondering how to furnish? Simple, rustic and monochromatic, like this inspiration board I created. I'd be happy to design it for you if you purchase. Will work for a plane ticket! :P

From the Listing

"This bright panoramic apartment is on the first floor of a historic pallazzetto in the medieval village of Castelnuovo di Porto, 30 minutes from Rome. 100 square meter apartment with a layout of four rooms, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom with shower, living room with fireplace. Despite recent renovations, the pallazzetto retains much of its historic charm in its interior architecture. Notable are the airy rooms due to high ceilings, some original stone doorway arches, and original wooden interior doors. An outside storage room can be restored as a terrace, expanding the living space.

Every room has at least one very large window, most with two, which floods this apartment with light in addition to providing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. The kitchen area is next to the living area, and is spacious enough for installation of all modern appliances as well as a small table. There is also plenty of room to make a dining area in the corner of the living room. New bathroom fixtures include a shower, and with its large window, the ventilation and light for this room is substantial.

In keeping with its original historic architecture, the interior room access doors in this 100 square meter space and very wide and give easy circulating access to the residents. An additional architectural item is the quasi enclosed court with an interesting fountain at the ground entrance door, giving a private space in front of the apartment entrance.

Rome is reachable by car or direct access train. Castelnuovo di Porto is a delightful village featuring all necessary services and shopping."
